Company Background
New Focus HR, LLC was started in August of 2009 by Kristen Deutsch, M.B.A., CCP, and is domiciled in Indiana. Kristen has been the sole managing member of the organization since its inception in 2009. Currently, there are four employees to include Kristen. The employees work virtually from their homes or from customer sites and are located in Indianapolis, IN, Noblesville, IN, Richmond, IN, and Westfield, IN. We have a combined 75-plus years of experience in HR on our staff, and all of our employees have certifications in the HR field through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), and/or WorldatWork. We also engage with independent contractors to support our workforce, as needed.
New Focus HR, LLC is also certified as a woman-owned business through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) – Great Lakes, which allows us to provide services to those organizations that are either required or prefer to contract their HR-related services from a minority, woman, or veteran-owned business.
New Focus HR, LLC customers are mostly located in Indiana. However, we do represent customers who are headquartered in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Vermont. While we represent customers who are headquartered in these states, most have employees in the other 50 contiguous states. However, with this being said, we do not represent employees who reside in California due to the large number of employment-related laws that govern those employees. We highly recommend that employers engage with an employment law attorney who has specific knowledge of California employment laws. Our customer base represents both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, as well as municipal government entities, e.g., cities, towns, townships, and counties. Most range in size from between 25 and 150 employees, but some are smaller and some are larger.

Process and Contact Information
Our process is to learn more about an organization’s HR-related issues, challenges, etc. through either an in-person meeting or a Zoom video call. Through this process, we gain the information that we need in order to prepare a proposal/agreement for services document. The proposal includes the scope of the project and our approach, as well as a pricing/signature page, the legal terms of the agreement, HR Consultants’ biographies, and a list of references for the company. Once it is signed by both parties, it is an agreement for services. All HR-related services may then take place in coordination with both the customer and New Focus HR Consultant’s calendar.
