Session One:
Business Health Checkup – What You Don’t Know Will Hurt You
Presenter: Tim Garrison, Partner, The Controllership Group
Time: 30 – 45 minutes with Q&A

Overview: Are your financials accurate can you as business owner tell? Are they useful in managing your business and making decisions based on financial information being shown? Can you use your financials to identify opportunities or issues before they get out of hand bottom line do you understand them? Lastly do you have a weekly and monthly process that using financial information?

Tim will be presenting using worksheets that document tricks that you can use when you get back to the office and implement in reviewing your financials. Understanding why knowing what is on your balance sheet is important! Use of the statement of cash flows looking at the basics and how this statement can point out problems and how to incorporate information on this statement into a view of a cash flow breakeven point. Looking how to use the information in your financials to determine fixed and variable costs and why is this information useful.


Session Two: Why Businesses Need HR: The “Top 10” Mistakes that Lead to Lawsuits
and Financial Exposure

Overview: Do you face daily challenges with your employees? Are your HR practices and policies compliant with both state and federal laws? Thus, the investment in effective HR practices and functions and professional advice is as critical to the success of an organization as having the right equipment, materials, products and processes.
